Fashion Forward

There are some people who wear t-shirts just to throw something on as they are going about their day.
But for others, t-shirts are not simply an article of clothing, they are a form of expression - an extension of their personality. From highly stylized, colorful, graphic tees to those emblazoned with "What does that say?!!!" catch phrases on the front, the t-shirt business is a multi-BILLION dollar industry. And one of the newest players out to stake their claim on a slice of this extremely lucrative t-shirt biz pie is Kid Saturn Clothing.

Vibrant, witty and a tad impish, legions of Kid Saturn Clothing fans have fallen hard for their tees featuring their logo - a cute, lovable little character who appears to be a cross between a tv and a robot (and is slightly reminiscent of Wall-E). Their commitment to great quality cotton jersey fabric and the clever synthesis of their logo with instantly recognizable iconic pop art images (check out the KSC Robot as the Quaker Oats Guy and Marilyn Monroe below) make Kid Saturn Clothing one to watch.

Are you ready to join the revolution?

Oi, bela bunda! – Belabunda Swimwear

So we’re just about halfway through the summer and many of us have not even made it to the beach. Well if you’re still looking for that perfect swimsuit to make your sea goddess debut, but want to strike a pose that sets you apart from all the other beach bunnies, check out Belabunda Swimwear.

Belabunda, (Portuguese for “nice bum” or “beautiful ass” if you’re a stickler for more literal translations), was an obvious choice for a New York based swimwear company with a Brazilian sensibility as far as playing up a woman’s, um, assets, but their aesthetic is more Vargas girl, pin-up beauty than volleyball playing princesses in dental floss bikinis on Copacabana beach (even though they do have some sportier styles in their collection). Sometimes less really is more!

Belabunda swimwear is perfect for poolside glamour and hot summer days playing it cool under the swankiest cabanas. Here are some photos from a Belabunda fashion show at the Stone Rose Lounge at Columbus Circle in the spring.
